Holly Chase

“A painter paints pictures on canvas. But musicians paint their pictures on silence.” ~Leopold Stokowski

Holly has always had an insatiable hunger and passion for the arts.  Whether that be through photography, painting or music, she looks forward to new opportunities to participate in new mediums that increase her creative knowledge and experiences. These methods of expression constantly surprise and fascinate her, and she is often amazed at what can be revealed through the creative process.

Music has always had a tremendous influence and presence in Holly’s life. Her father played the drums for a number of years, and her mother played the violin, piano and even on occasion the guitar.  There is little doubt as to why music became a natural influence and tool of self expression.

Currently residing in Washington, Ms. Chase received her B.A. from The University of Washington, Tacoma with a degree in the Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences program with an emphasis and major in Arts, Media and Culture. She has performed as a choral member in the All Northwest Choir in both Washington and Oregon and has starred in musical theatre with roles such as Eponine in “Les Miserables” with Encore! Theatre, and Hodel in “Fiddler on the Roof”. She was also a choral member with the Northwest Repertory Singers for several years and performed several solos such as the role of “Jesus” in the Christmas carol and ballad, “The Cherry Tree Carol”. One of Holly’s musical highlights was the opportunity to participate as a choral member for Andrew T. Miller’s 2009 performance of “The Birth of Christ” in Rome, Italy during Easter weekend.

Recently Holly has been working on broadening her vocal repertoire with music genres such as jazz and more contemporary styles as well as guest starring for local recitals and performances through Andrew T. Miller Music Studios.
